He/Him
Executive Coach
I’ve followed a plant-based diet since 2002, enjoy running half-marathons, and live with my family outside Washington, DC. I’m the son and parent of immigrants to the United States and currently serve on the Barker Adoption Foundation Board of Trustees.
Summary and Highlights:
I have a knack for coaching fellow introverts, helping them find their superpowers in an extroverted world. I also specialize in coaching through transitions, bringing a warm, open, and energetic presence to my clients. To date, I’ve had the privilege of coaching leaders born in 32 countries and working across 4 continents. My clients span corporations (including Fortune 50 companies), nonprofit organizations, public utilities, and federal, county, and municipal governments.
Coaching Vision:
I’m the author of Don’t Just Have the Soup: 52 Analogies for Leadership, Coaching and Life. My background includes more than two decades in public, government, and nonprofit communications, where I led teams ranging from 2 to over 100 people. My career transformation, supported by an executive coach, inspired me to found Peaceful Direction in April 2019. I bring the principles of equity and justice into my work, focusing on supporting women, people of color, and other historically underrepresented groups in Western leadership culture.
